Paula Gayle Jeter

January 30, 1934 — July 25, 2023

Paula Gayle Jeter entered into heavenly rest on July 25, 2023, at the age of 89 at The Tignall House in Tignall, Ga.

She was born on January 30, 1934, to the late Delbert and Corine Martin in Lindsey, OK.

As a cherished mother, Paula held a special place in the hearts of her two children: Sheree Royal and Danny Jeter. Moments of laughter, love, and support from her children were pillars of her happiness.

In addition to being a devoted mother, Paula was an accomplished professional. She was an antique and gift shop owner in El Paso, Texas, where she shared her passion for unique treasures. She never failed to delighted her customers with her warm personality. Aside from her professional abilities, Paula was a skilled decorator. It was her passion to make something beautiful out of nothing; and she excelled in doing just that. Paula connected with people from all walks of life and built lasting relationships through her talents and love of people. Her friends came to know her as “Jolly”, a nickname that captured her bubbly personality. She will surely be missed by her loved ones and a multitude of friends as well.

Above all, faith in Jesus Christ along with devotion to her Church and Bible studies define Paula’s life. She hosted a Bible study in her home for five years as well as attending a Bible study in Thomson, GA for eight years.

She was a very active member of Beta Sigma Phi/XI Zeta Delta Chapter for many years.

Paula was predeceased by her late husband Command Sgt. Major James Robert Jeter. Along side her husband, she served the country that she loved so much as President of the NCO Wives Club for the duration of his career.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in law, Sheree and Brian Royal of Washington, GA; and her son, Danny Jeter, of Philadelphia , PA.

Paula’s Celebration of Life will be held August 5, 2023, at 10 AM at Faith Community Church, Lincolnton, GA, with Pastor John Belangia officiating.
