Kenneth Shank

Mr. Kenneth Shank, 74, of 404 Holiday Road in Washington, Georgia, entered into rest on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at his home.

Mr Shank was born in Washington, Georgia on April 3, 1948 to the late Hal Penick Shank and Dorothy Odean Holland Shank. After graduating from Washington Wilkes High School, Kenneth completed undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Georgi.  He taught school in Washington and then worked at CNN in Atlanta for a number of years.  After retirement, he moved back to Washington and resided in the Shank homeplace.  He enjoyed woodworking, and had created numerous pieces of art from timber that he gathered from his property.

Kenneth was survived by his sister, Ruth Randman and husband Bennett, of Jackson MS; his brother, Joe Shank and wife Judy, of Nashville, TN; and niece, Hilary Gedge and husband Andrew, and their two children, Brandon and Raegan, also of Nashville.

Interment was at the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at noon, Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 404 Holiday Rd., and then meet at the graveside.
