Georgia Ann Garrard Mansur

Mrs. Georgia Ann Garrard Mansur, 82, of Washington, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday evening, March 5, 2025 at her residence.

Ann was born on April 22,1942 in Washington, Georgia to the late George E. Garrard and Ann Matteson Garrard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Dee Mansur.

Ann graduated from high school in Washington, Georgia in 1960 and from the University of Georgia in1964 with a bachelor's degree in Home Economics and later a degree in Elementary Education. She played in the band in high school and in the Dixie Redcoat Band in college.

She Ann is survived by her brother, Ben “Dickie” Garrard of Wahington, Georgia, stepbrother, Dr. John Jahera, Jr of Augusta, Georgia, niece, Stephanie Garrard of Seatle, Washington, and nephew, Alexander Garrard of Las Vegas, Nevada.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM in the sanctuary of Smyrna Community Church in Washington, Georgia.

A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM in the church cemetery. Rev. David Hagen will officiate the service.
