Frankie Annette Carter

Mrs. Frankie Annette Thornton Carter, 73, of Metasville, died September 28, 2010 at her home.She was a native of Washington, the daughter of the late Frank and Lelia Anthonet ‘Nettie’ Wheatley Thornton.Mrs. Carter was a homemaker and a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by a daughter, Annette Shelton and three grandchildren, Chad Shelton, Julie Shelton and Craig Carter. Funeral services will be Friday, October 1, 2010 at 2:00pm in Rehoboth Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Rayner officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery.Joe Hardy, Herbert Bailey, Herman Wheatley, Douglas Wheatley, Jerry Walker and David Tyler will serve as pallbearers.Mike Wheatley and Stanley Wheatley will serve as honoraries. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Raymond Carter; son Addison (Lynn) Carter, Washington; daughters, Belinda Carter (Jimmie K. Cloud), Huntsville, AL, Debra Guin, Washington and Elaine (Edward) Moore, Washington; grandchildren, Adam Shelton, Casey Carter, Tiffany Guin, Jeremy Guin, Jennifer Santorsola, and Jessica Moore; great grandchildren, Grier Carter, Emerson Carter, Nathan Shelton and Kristopher Henry; and one sister, Ruby Adkins, Warrenton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thuirsday evening from 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Comfort House, P.O. Box 3966, Augusta, GA. or Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
