Betty Merritt Mrs. Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Morris Merritt, 92, of Washington, died October 19, 2010 in Athens Regional Medical Center.She was a native of Washington, Georgia, the daughter of the late Lynwood and Robertell Chapman Morris.Mrs. Merritt was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Washington. Graveside services will be Friday at 2:00pm in Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Albert Huyck and Rev. Kevin Madden officiating. Survivors include her husband of sixty six years, Thomas Robert Merritt; daughter and son in law, Claire and William T. Molloy, Houston, Texas; son and daughter in law, Thomas R. and Candice Merritt, Canton, Georgia; four grandchildren, Brian and Andrew Molloy and Kristin and Jason Merritt. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6-8pm.
