William A. Woodruff

Mr. William A. “Billy” Woodruff, 75, of Sharon Rd. in Crawfordville, died Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at the VA Medical Center in Augusta. Mr. Woodruff was born in Washington, and had lived in Crawfordville for 20 years.He was the son of the late Clinton T. and Erlesmere E. Smallwood Woodruff, and was a retired commercial knife grinder.He was a U. S. Air Force veteran and was a member of the Crawfordville Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by four sisters, Virginia Anderson, Frances McDaniel, Jeanette Taylor, and Betty Di Pietro; and by one brother, James Woodruff. Mr. Woodruff was survived by many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be Saturday, April 4, 2015, at 3:00 at the Crawfordville Baptist Church with Rev. David Bridwell officiating.Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Jimmy Waters Brotherhood. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1:30pm until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to defray funeral costs, or to the charity of your choice.
