William W. Williams, Jr.

Mr. William W. Williams, Jr. of Newnan, Georgia, was born January 28, 1927 in Savannah to the late Anna Rackley Williams and William W. Williams, Sr.In 1954 he married Barbara Burdette, his wife of 55 years. After 22 years of serving as President, Mr. Williams retired from the C&S Bank.He was very active in his community serving in many civic and political offices.He was a devoted member of the Central Baptist Church for over 50 years where he served as a deacon, choir member,Sunday School teacher and a trustee. Surviving family members include daughters and sons in law, Jane Kelly Williams and David Thomas Richards of Tenafly, NJ, Ann Burdette Williams and Paul David Steinke, of Brooklyn, NY; Other family members are a granddaughter, Willa Kate Richards; abd step-grandchildren, David Stenke, his wife, Lauren and their children, Bayla and Jacob; Jonathan Steinke, his wife Nicole LaRossa, and their children Theo and Zacharia and Darcey Steinke, her husband, MIke Hudson and her daughter Abbie Hornburg. The graveside service is Thursday, May 10th at 11:30am in Resthaven Cemetery in Washington,with Dr. Joel Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday between 6:00pm and 9:00pm at the MC KOON FUNERAL HOME, 38 Jackson St., Newnan, Ga. Arrangements are being handled by McKoon Funeral Home, 770-253-4580
