William T. Johnson

Mr. William Theophilus Johnson, III,88, (June 9, 1924-March 1, 2013), of Washington,passed on March 1, 2013 at Wills Memorial Hospital.Graveside services with full military honors will be conducted at Callaway Family Cemetery on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 1:00PM with Reverend Kevin Madden officiating. A veteran of World War II, Mr. Johnson served in France and Germany and earned the Bronze Star and the Combat Infantryman Badge and other decorations.He served in First Baptist Church of Washington since 1938 and in the Kiwanis Club of Washington since 1955.He was an employee and member of the Georgia Army National Guard from 1947 until 1984, and was promoted to the rank of Chief Warrant Officer (CW4). He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Callaway Johnson in 1993,Survivors include his sister-in-law Anne Johnson and four nieces and two nephews. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8pm at Hopkins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to either the Senior Choir program at First Baptist Church, P.O.
