Mr. William Charles Foxworth, 65, of Rome, GA, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at Kindred Hospital in Rome. Mr. Foxworth was a native of Greenwwood, SC, and had lived in Rome for about eight years.He was the husband of Laura Lance Foxworth, and was the son of the late William Foxworth and Mary Johnson Foxworth.He was a retired truck driver and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, during which he earned an Honorable Discharge after being a POW and earning a Purple Heart. Funeral services will be 3:00 Sunday, December 28, 2014, at the Washington First Baptist Church with Revs. Albert Huyck and Kevin Madden officiating. James Lance, Chris Conway, Guy Lance, Brian Lance, Kurk Lance, Al Yauck and Stan Johnson will serve as pallbearers.Burial will follow in the Bell Family Cemetery behind the Clifford Grove Baptist Church in Washington. He is survived by his wife, Laura Lance Foxworth, of Rome; one daughter, Tonya (Kerry) Cooper, of Greenwood, SC; two granddaughters, Rebecca Watford and Christine Gonzalez, both of Greenwood; and by one great grandson;Father and Mother-in-law, Willard and Sue Lance, of Washington; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Chris) Conway, of Athens; one brother-in-law, James (Keeley) Lance, of Grovetown; and one nephew, Andrew Lance.
