Warren C Nunn

Mr. Warren Candler Nunn, 89, of Water St., died Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at University Hospital . Mr. Nunn was born in Taliaferro County, was the son of the late George P. Nunn and Eva Tucker Nunn, and was the widower of Lois Lunceford Nunn.He was retired from Rayle EMC, where he was Manager of Operations and Maintenance.Mr. Nunn was an Army veteran of WW II,where he was in the Signal Corp, in the Occupational Forces in Japan, and was a paratrooper.Mr. Nunn was a member of the First Baptist Church in Washington, where he was a member of the Jesse MercerSunday School Class. He had received his fifty year pin from the Lafayette Masonic Lodge. He was also preceded in death by six sisters and one brother. Graveside services will be Friday, January 18, 2013, at 2:00 at Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Madden officiating.Visitation will be Friday from 12:30 till 1:30 at Hopkins Funeral Home. Mr. Nunn is survived by two sons, Elliot (Judy) Nunn. of Macon, and Dean (Susan) Nunn, of Washington; five grandchildren, Becky (Johnny) Pressley, David Nunn, Meredith (Randy) Josey, Phillip (Nikki) Nunn, and Harley Nunn;7 great grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Vera Lunceford Williamson, of Augusta.
