Warren Pierce Newsome

Mr. Warren Pierce Newsome, 74, of Orr Rd., died Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at his home. Mr. Newsome was born in Wilkes County, and was the son of the late Joseph Edward “Smythe”Newsome and Blanche Echols Newsome. Mr. Newsome was retired from International Paper, was an eight-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and was of the Baptist Faith. Graveside services will be Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Jim Newsome and Rev. Sonny Sessions officiating. Mr. Newsome is survived by his wife, Ann B. Newsome, of the home; two sons, Warren Newsome (Lisa), of Washington, and Travis Newsome (Christa), of Crawford; four grandchildren, Ansley Newsome, Hunter Newsome, Anne Nicole McRee (Wesley), and Julia Andrade (Angel); and four great grandchildren.
