Wanda Jane Roberson

Mrs. Wanda Jane Roberson, 77, of Tignall, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 in Country Manor Personal Care Home.A native of DeQueen, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Sally Imogene Holman Wendt.She married Joe Roberson on April 23, 1966.Mrs. Roberson attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University, was a member of the Tryon Christian Union Church, The Arkansas and Missouri Cherokee Nation, The United Daughters of the Confederacy; Colonial Dames, the Kettle Creek Chapter of DAR, The Pilot Club, Tignall Homemakers and was a voter registrar in Oklahoma.She was Co-Proprietor and Manager of Joe’s Country Store, in Tryon, Oklahoma. A graveside service will be held Friday, January 16th at 2:00pm in Pope’s Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Arthur Key officiating. Survivors include her husband of forty eight years, Joe Roberson, of Tignall; one daughter, Julaine Roberson, of Tignall and Queens, N.Y.;and one brother, Rusty Wendt, of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado.
