Wadine R. Cosby

Ms. Wadine Rousey Cosby, 86, of Lexington Rd. In Washington, passed away Monday morning, March 18, 2019, at the Country Manor Personal Care Home in Tignall. Ms. Cosby was born in Washington, was the daughter of Charlie Arbie and Liller Bradford Rousey, and was the widow of Mr. Thomas B. Cosby, Jr.She worked at Almar Manufacturing Company for a number of years, and was of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by two daughters, Dianne C. Compton and husband Jerry, of Washington, and Debbie C. Burton and husband Joe, of Tignall; two sons, Danny Cosby , of Rayle, and David Cosby, and wife Betty, of Washington;fourteen grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Thursday, March 21, 2019, at the Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Newsome and Rev. Barry McAvoy officiating.Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Crayton Young, Clary Young, Eddie Huff, Josh Cosby, Justin Cosby, and Ryan Burton.Honorary pallbearers will be Clyde Whittington, Arnold Adams, Arvid Johnson, Sam Bradley, Roy Stitcher, and Donald Wheatley. The family will receive friends before the service on Thursday from 12:30 until 1:45 at the Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel.
