W.A. Stevens, Jr. Washington:Mr. Willie Adolphus (W.A.) Stevens, Jr., 75, died Wednesday at Doctors Hospital in Augusta. Mr. Stevens was a native of Washington, GA, and was husband of Johnnie Mathews Stevens.He was the son of the late W. A. Stevens and Leila Greene Stevens. He retired from the logging industry, specializing in sawmill maintenance.He was a member of the Lakeside Bible Chapel in Lincolnton. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 5, 2011, at 2:00pm in the Lakeside Bible Chapel in Lincolnton with Peter Hoffman and Austin Meadows officiating.Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Washington.The family will receive friends Saturday at Lakeside Bible Chapelfrom 1:00 pmuntil the time of the service. Pallbearers will be Bobby Stevens, Gene Stevens, Doug Stevens, Howard Stevens, Douglas Mathews, and James Mathews. Mr. Stevens is survived by his wife, Johnnie M. Stevens, of Washington; one daughter, Vicki Stevens, of Washington; one son, Ricky Stevens, and wife Lisa, of Washington; one sister, Sue Davis, of Washington; and two grandchildren, Leah Stevens and Scott Stevens.
