Virginia Callaway

Mrs. Emmie Virginia Crooke Callaway, 84, of Washington, died December 27, 2010 at Heritage Healthcare of Wilkes.She was a native of Danielsville, Georgia, the daughter of the late Thomas Roy and Leila Bone Crooke.She was a bookkeeper and a member of Washington First Baptist Church.Mrs. Callaway was preceded in death by her husband, S. T. Callaway, her daughter, Nancy C. Long and brother, Lamar Crooke. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 11:00am in Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Albert Huyck officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 – 10:30am on Wednesday at the funeral home. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth (Jane) Callaway, Rayle and David (Karen) Callaway, Rayle; one son in law, Wilson Long, Washington; five grandchildren, Will Long, Kimberly Phillips, Brandon Callaway, Graham Callaway and Sherrer Virginia Long.
