Viola Mccant Ellington

Ms. Minnie Viola McCant Ellington, 77, of Crawfordville, passed away Sunday morning, January 12, 2020, at her residence. Ms. Ellington was born in Baldwin County and had lived in Taliaferro County since 1980.She was the daughter of the late Rowel Albert McCant and Eunice Etheridge McCant.She was the wife of the late William Ellington, and was a store manager as well as a homemaker. She is survived by three daughters, Jessica E. Corry (Mike), of Hephzibah, Mellissa E. Finney (Raymond),of Crawfordville, and Crystal E. Shuman (Scott), of Crawfordville; two sons, William Ellington, Jr. (Angie), of Hull, and Michael Ellington (Lisa), of Hephzibah; two sisters, Joann McLaren, Ft. Mill, SC, and Velma Spires, of Milledgeville; two brothers, Al McCant, of Milledgeville, and Tony McCant, of Gordon; ten grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, January 16, 2020, at the Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold McClaren officiating.Committal services at the grave will follow at the Bennett Family Cemetery in Crawfordville. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday evening, January 15, 2020, at Hopkins Funeral Home. Hopkins Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Ms. Viola Ellington.
