It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Trent Michael Wilson, who left this world on Sunday, February 9th, 2025, at the age of 28. Born on Sunday, August 18th, 1996, in Augusta, Georgia, Trent spent his final moments at his home in Washington, GA, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.
Trent was a cherished son to Keith Wilson of Tignall and Jennifer Wilson of Washington. He was the beloved grandson of Connie Moore of Washington and Joan Wilson of Tignall. He joins his grandfathers, Jesse Moore and Marvin Wilson Jr., in eternal rest. Trent is also survived by his uncles and aunts: Chris Wilson of Athens, Michael and Denise Moore of Washington, and his great uncles and aunts: Dale and Lawrence Black of Washington, Judy and Larry Scales of Anderson, SC, and Lisa and Glenn Gunter of Elberton, GA. He was a loving cousin to Evan, Emma, and Aaron, and leaves behind a host of friends who became family.
Trent was a proud graduate of Washington Wilkes Comprehensive High School, class of 2015. His passion for diesel mechanics was evident in his work with Palmer Equipment Company, J & P, and most recently, as a self-employed mechanic. To Trent, his work was more than a job; it was a testament to his dedication, skill, and love for problem-solving. His hardworking spirit and enthusiasm for life were an inspiration to all who knew him.
Beyond his professional life, Trent had a zest for adventure. He loved racing dirt bikes, hunting, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs football team. Trent was a special soul, someone who never met a stranger. His warmth, kindness, and laughter had a way of drawing people in, turning acquaintances into friends and friends into family. He had a rare gift—the ability to make everyone around him feel seen, valued, and loved. His presence could light up a room, and his laughter was infectious, a sound we will carry with us always.
A visitation will be held on February 13, 2025, from 1:30-3:00 PM at Raytown Baptist Church, followed by a service at 3:00 PM officiated by Michael Moore. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Colby Moore, William Thomas, Candler Price, Adam Standard, Mike Driggers, J.T. Smith, Evan Moore, and Aaron Moore.
Trent's presence could light up a room, and his laughter will echo in the hearts of those who knew him. He was a special soul who never met a stranger, and his memory will be cherished by all whose lives he touched.
