Thomas Walton

Mr. Thomas Clarke Walton, 88, of Sheffield Lane, died Monday,April 20, 2015 at his home. Mr. Walton was born in Tignall, GA, and was the son of the late Tom and Elizabeth Henderson Walton.Mr. Walton was the head of maintenance for the Wilkes County Board of Education.He was a Navy veteran of WWII, and was a member of the Washington First United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be Thursday, April 23, 2015, at 2:00 at Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Thomas Hall and Rev. Gale Seibert officiating.Pallbearers will be grandsons, and a nephew, Dan Allen. Mr. Walton is survived by four sons, Michael Walton (Johanna), of Warner Robins, Shelby Walton (Betty), of Lincolnton, James Walton, of Washington, and Brian Walton (Becky), of Appling; one brother, Billy Walton, of Jacksonville, FL; 8 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren.
