Thomas Alfred Stewart

Thomas A. Stewart, age 71, passed away at his home in Cedartown on January 14, 2023.

Thom was born the second child of James and Peggy Stewart on June 22, 1951. He was raised in Warrenton, Georgia along with his brother, Jimmy Stewart and sister, Ann Stewart Walker.

Thom went on to graduate from Georgia Southern University with a degree in criminal justice. Within a few short years of graduation, he met and married Pattie Stewart and they made Cedartown their home. Thom and Patti were blessed with two children, Benjamin Griffin Stewart, and Rebecca Ann Stewart. They were further blessed with two grandchildren, Graham Stewart and Griffin Banks Frasier.

Thom spent the majority of his career working with the State Board of Workers’ Compensation. Thom was loved and he will be missed.

Memorial Services will be at 2:00pm Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Jennings Baptist Church in Crawfordville with Rev. Eric Bunch officiating.
