Thomas A. Johnson Mr. Thomas A. “Coot” Johnson, 91,of Quaker Springs Rd., died Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Washington Manor. Mr. Johnson was born in Taliaferro County, was the son of the late Horace F. and Ruby Eunice Edwards Johnson, and was the widower of Mary Lee Thaxton Johnson.He was a retired Dairy farmer, and was a member of the Sandy Cross Baptist Church.Mr. Johnson was an Army veteran of WW II. Graveside services will be Monday, November 25, 2013, at 2:00 pm at Resthaven Cemetery.Mr. Johnson will be honored by an Army Burial Honors team at the close of the service. Pallbearers will be Brad Boardwell, Robert Wommack, Chris Thornton, Greg Thornton, Michael Tillman, and Lindsey Partain. Mr. Johnson is survived by two daughters , Betty J. Wommack, and husband Skip, of Tennille, and Pat J. Thornton, and husband Ellis, of Washington; one sister, Helen J. Miller, of Washington; and by five grandchildren, Joey W. Boardwell (Brad), Robert W. Wommack, Chris Thornton (Jan), Greg Thornton, and Kelli J. Tillman (Michael); and eight greatgrandchildren.
