Thomas Stewart Granade

Mr. ThomasStewart“Fat Rat” Granade,Jr.,63, of Washington, died July 4, 2014 at his home.A native of Washington, Georgia, he was the son of the late Thomas Stewart Granade and Mary Barbee Granade. He graduated from Washington-Wilkes High School in 1968, where he was #64 on the Tiger Football Team.He was a member of First Baptist Church of Washington and also frequently attended Ebenezer Baptist.Mr. Granade was a retired Forester. He served his country in the National Guard. Graveside services will be Sunday, July 6, 2014 at 6:00pm in Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Albert Huyck officiating.Lewis Brown, Richard DuBois, Frank Wills, Gene Guill, Blakey Brown and Jack Leard will serve as pallbearers.Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Larry Veazey, Marshall Garrett, Trey Kennedy and Jason Dyson. Survivors include daughters and sons in law, Lee and Robert Jimenez, of Macon, Kelly and Jeremy Kichler, of Perry, and Kasey Maddox, of Lake Oconee; son, Gabe Wilder, Atlanta; sister, Gay Williams, of Augusta; and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday before the service from4:30 – 5:30pm. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
