Thomas Coryer Poss Washington:Mr. Thomas Coryer Poss, 73, of Poplar Drive, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at the McDuffie County Medical Center. Mr. Poss was born in Washington, GA, was the son of the late Earl William Poss and Frances Young Poss, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Patsy Knight Poss.He was a retired truck driver, and was a member of the Phillips Mill Baptist Church. Mr. Poss was a U. S. Navy veteran, having served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Phillips Mill Baptist Church.Interment will follow at the Carter’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Bailey, Mickey Sisson, John Sisson, Derrick Dalton, Darryl Dalton, and Charlie Cullars. Mr. Poss is survived by his daughter, Brenda P. McNure(Paul), and one granddaughter, Emily McNure, bothof Washington; one sister, Velma. P. Dalton, of Sandersville; and by his significant other, Rudean Robiston, of Thomson. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 at Hopkins Funeral Home.
