Thelma Faver

Mrs. Thelma Parris Faver, 85, of Rayle, died May 7, 2013 at her daughter’s home.A native of McCaysville, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Noah Osbin and Myrtle Teague Parris and the widow of Wyatte Rayle Faver.She was a homemaker and a member of Sardis Baptist Church. Graveside services will be Thursday, May 9th at 2:00pm in Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Allen Danner and Rev. Jim Newsome officiating.Jimmy Smith, Hugh Hardcastle, Jack Thurmond, Jr., Clay Smoot, Nathan Smoot and Matt Barfield will serve as pallbearers. Survivors include one daughter, Cheryl (Robert) Carlisle, of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Michael Alan (Cheryl) Fisher, of Jefferson, Crystal Alexandria Johnson, of Lincolnton and Teresa Carlisle Wolfe, of Lincolnton; six great grandchildren, Hayley Johnson, Tyler Wolfe, Jaden Fisher, Austin Miller, Hannah Johnson and Hayden Johnson. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7-9pm at the funeral home.
