Stephen Mark Adams

Mr. Stephen Mark Adams, 57, of Washington, entered into rest on Friday, May 26, 2023, at his home.

Stephen was born in Anderson, S.C., and was the son of Sandra Riddle Adams and of the late David W. Adams.  He worked at J.C. Ashmore Logging for about 15 years, and was an escavator operator for McWhorter Logging for about 18 years. Stephen lettered in baseball and football for the Washington-Wilkes Tigers, and was a huge Clemson fan.  He loved bass fishing, go cart racing, and deer hunting.  He was a member of the Phillips Mill Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son, Stephen Mark Adams, Jr., of Washington, and by a daughter, Stephanie M. Adams, also of Washington; his mother, Sandra R. Adams, of Washington; a sister, Amy (Dee Dee) Adams, of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Olivia Sanchez, Lucy Sanchez, Sloan Sanchez, Easton Cole Adams. Autumn Winkle, Jaylen Adams, and Jaylia Adams; one niece, Hayden Zumbro, and a nephew, David Zumbro, Jr.

Stephen was preceded in death by his father, David W. Adams, and by a daughter, Amber Adams Sanchez, paternal grandparents, Walt and Mary Adams, and maternal grandparents, Joe and Jean Riddle.

Services will be planned for a later date.
