Stephanie Brooks Stewart

Mrs. Stephanie Brooks Stewart, 70, of Sparta Rd. in Crawfordville, entered into rest Saturday evening, July 23, 2022, at Piedmont Augusta/University Hospital.

Mrs. Stewart was born in Elberton and had lived in Crawfordville for about 47 years.  She was the daughter of the late Robert Clarence Brooks and Betty Edwards Brooks, and was the wife of Darrell Stewart.  She attended Georgia College in Milledgeville, then transferred to UGA where she graduated with a Media Specialist degree.  She was a media specialist/schoolteacher in the Taliaferro County and Warren County school systems, loved her students and her job, and was an Episcopalian by faith.

Stephanie is survived by her husband of 47 years, Darrell Stewart, of Crawfordville; two sisters, Cindy Agbayani (Jim), of Virginia, and Marianne Brooks; one brother, Marc Brooks (Kathy), of Elberton; and by a number of nieces and nephews.

There are no memorial services planned.
