We are saddened to announce the passing of Shauncey Ronald Box, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Shauncey passed away on Thursday, December 5th, 2024, at the age of 55. A man who loved with his whole heart and gave to anyone in need. A beacon of laughter and light to those who knew him.
Shauncey was born on Tuesday, June 17th, 1969, in Florida. Shauncey graduated from Oconee County High School in 1987 and went on to build a successful career as an auto glass technician with B & B Auto Glass in Winterville, Georgia. Known for his exceptional craftsmanship and dedication to his work, Shauncey was respected and admired by colleagues and clients alike.
He will be missed by the many friends he made in this life. He was LOVED by all who got to know him and his sudden departure will leave a hole in many people's hearts. I believe he would want everyone to know that his body is no longer broken. It's no longer limp or in pain. He is overflowing with the utmost joy. Shauncey is in heaven with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He is RUNNING and JUMPING AND CLAPPING HIS HANDS WITH JESUS!
I believe he would also desperately want anyone he knew, to know the love that he feels now. The love of his Father in Heaven. John 14:6 says "I am the way the truth and the Life. No man cometh to the Father but by Me." These are Jesus' words for us to know the only way to get to heaven, to where Shauncey is, is to trust in Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Our Shauncey is free and happy. May the Lord comfort all of those effected by this sudden and tragic loss. Yet also allow for a season of JOY for his salvation and the fact that we can and will see him again.
He made his home in Tignall, GA, where he embraced the joys of family life. Shauncey is survived by his ex-wife, Angela Robinson, and their children: Tyler O'Brien Box, Jessica Hansine' Box Skinner, and Casey Grant Box. He also shared his heart with his fiancée's children, Mechell Shaver and Noel Morris. Shauncey's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Keegan, Zayden, Grant, Grayson, Nathan, Lynda, Laci, Stacey, Dylan, Zach, and Savannah; and great-grandchildren: Landon, Zachariah, Isabella, Tanner, and Joseph.
Shauncey was preceded in death by his parents, James Ronald Box and Kathy Ann Mobley, and his beloved fiancée, Brenda Lipscomb, to whom a joint memorial service will be dedicated. He will also be deeply missed by his siblings: Angel, Shannon, Jennie, Rick, Matt, Cyndi, and Wendi, with whom he shared a bond enriched with memories.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Shauncey's life at a memorial service on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will commence at 1:00 PM and continue until the time of the service. Shauncey's kind spirit and infectious smile will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
