Sarah Elizabeth Huff

Sarah Elizabeth Turpin Huff, 89, of Washington, Georgia, passed away on October 22, 2023 at Harper’s Personal Care Home. She was born on October 13, 1934, to the late Bright Russell “Bill” Turpin and Rosa Mae Noggle Turpin and was the widow of Mr. Franklin D. Huff.

Family was at the center of Sarah's life, and she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. Whether it was gathering for holiday celebrations or simply enjoying a meal together, these moments brought immeasurable happiness to Sarah's heart. Sarah was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Washington.

Sarah is survived by her two sons, Randy Goldman and wife Connie of Washington, Georgia; and Russell Goldman of Atlanta, Georgia; one granddaughter, Cassie Graves and husband James; three great-grandchildren, Bryson Taylor, Brynleigh Graves and Braxton Graves; and one sister, Linda Standard. Sarah was preceded in death by two sisters; Mildred (Minnie) Kriete and Frances Turpin, and by two brothers; Bill Turpin and Charles Turpin.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 25 at 3:00 pm at Mt. Zion Church of Washington with Rev. Ginny Best officiating. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm and will be held in the church prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Wade Dunnaway, Alex Dunnaway, Chris Standard, Daniel Standard, Peyton Standard and Bobby Ansley.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or Mt. Zion Church of Washington in c/o Wade Dunnaway.
