Sarah Frances Fendley

Ms. Sara Frances Chafin Fendley, 91, of Rayle, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 14, 2020. Ms. Fendley was born in Oglethorpe County and had lived most of her life in Wilkes County.She was the daughter of the late Tuck Irvin Chafin and Sallie Sue Patton Chafin, was the widow of John Bob Fendley, and was a machine operator at ALMAR Manufacturing Co. in Washington for 25 years. She is survived by two daughters, Joann Burkett, of Rayle, and Deborah Armour (Bobby), of Rayle; one sister, Virginia Fong, of Augusta; four grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Friday, January 17, 2020 at the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. Hopkins Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Sara Frances Fendley.
