Sara S. Smith

Mrs. Sara Sellers Smith, age 83 of Augusta, Georgia, formerly of Washington, entered into rest on October 7, 2023 at her home.  Mrs. Smith was born on January 6, 1940 to the late Arthur C. and Ruby M. Howell Sellers and married Walter Howard Smith, who preceded her in death on September 13, 2023.

Mrs. Smith was a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt. Sara loved spending quality time supporting, encouraging, and making memories with them. She was a member of Curtis Baptist Church.

Mrs. Smith is survived by three sons, Walter Howard, Jr. and wife Michelle A. Smith of Bristol, Indiana; Lawrence Smith and Anthony Smith, both of Augusta; four grandchildren, Noah W. Smith, Joshua H. Smith, Natalie I. Smith and Savannah R. Smith; sister in law, Evelyn Sellers; two nieces, Sara J. Martin and Debra Joe Craig; and a nephew, Eric Sellers.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Phillips Mill Baptist Church Cemetery, in Washington at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Edward Anderson officiating.
