Ms. Sara Frances Hardy Ogletree, 72, of Bartram Trace Rd., passed away Monday morning at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens. Ms. Ogletree was a native of Wilkes County and had lived here all of her life.She was the daughter of the late Cecil Emmett Hardy and Elizabeth Combs Hardy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas David Ogletree of 53 years who passed away on September 28, 2018 and also by four brothers, Cecil Hardy, Carroll Hardy, Dan Hardy, and Pete Hardy; and by one sister, Mildred Collins. She was an assistant manager in the food service/hospitality industry, and attended the Sardis Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Randy Ogletree, and wife Christina, of Washington; one daughter, Karen Bryant, and husband Michael, of Washington; two grandchildren, Joshua Hardy Bryant and Victoria Roberts Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, at 4:00pm at the Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Newsome and Rev. Arthur Key officiating.Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.Visitation will be at Hopkins Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:30 until the time of the service. Pallbearers will be Edward Ogletree, Joshua Bryant, Mike Wheatley, Everett Hardy, Billy Hopkins and Ricky Fanning. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Hopkins Funeral Home is honored to serve the Ogletree Family.
