Mrs. Samille Huff Branham Sherrer, 95, of Branham Rd. in Washington, passed away at her home on Thursday, September 24, 2020. Mrs. Sherrer was born in Wilkes County and had lived here all of her life.She was the daughter of Samuel Watson Huff and Agnes Hopkins Huff.She was twice married and widowed.She was first married to Charles E. Branham, and then to James E. Sherrer. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Statham and Philip Huff.She was a retired telephone operator, and was a “lifelong” member of the Clifford Grove Baptist Church,where she served as church treasurer for about 50 years. She is survived by one daughter, Agnes B. Hayden, of Martinez; two sons, Edward Branham, and wife Terri, of Blue Ridge, and Ray Branham, of Washington; sister-in-law, Mae Dell Huff; six grandchildren, Ryan Hayden, Philip Hayden, Ann Caldwell (Josh), Elizabeth Hobbs (Greyson), Whitney Jablonski (Nick), and Charles Branham; and by two great grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11:00am Monday, September 28, 2020, at the Branham Family Cemetery located at 493 Branham Rd. in Washington.Her grandson-in-law, Rev. Josh Caldwell will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Nick Jablonski, Josh Caldwell, Greyson Hobbs, Ryan Hayden, Charles Branham, and Walter Branham. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clifford Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Judy Braxton, 699 Braxton Rd., Washington, GA30673. Hopkins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
