Sam Lovvorn

Sam Lovvorn Mr. Sam E. Lovvorn, 91, of Washington, died January 16, 2009 in Wills Memorial Hospital.He was a native of Bedford County, Tennessee and the son of the late James Alton and Mizzie Bell Puckett Lovvorn.Mr. Lovvorn served his country in the National Guard, was of the Baptist Faith and was a retired cabinet maker. Funeral services will be Monday, January 19th at 2:00pm in Hopkins Funeral Home, with Rev. James Bowen officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.Sam Lovvorn, Steve Lovvorn, Barry Lovvorn, Walter Noggle, Marty Higgenbotham and Keith Lovvorn will serve as pallbearers. Survivors include his wife of over 58 years, Lillie Bell Wells Lovvorn; sons and daughter in law, Sam and Pat Lovvorn, Crona, California and Barry Lovvorn, Shelbyville Kentucky; daughters and son in law, Margie Jean Lyle, Jacksonville, FL and Sheila and Kenneth Poss, Rayle; sisters, Mai Lovvorn, Shelbyville, TN and Dorothy Christopher, Winchester, TN; ten grandchildren, Debra Higgenbotham, Vike Lovvorn, Margie Wishiewsai, Deana Brunk, Douglas Lyle, Shauna Stabile, Keith Lovvorn, Jeremy Lovvorn, Samantha Parker and Nichole Dooley; and twelve great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8pm at the Funeral Home.
