Ruth Moore

Ruth Suggs Moore, age 86, of Lexington, KY, formerly of Louisville, KY, passed away Monday, May 24, 2010, at Mayfair Manor Nursing Home in Lexington, KY. Born Sunday, April 13, 1924, in Atlanta, GA, she was a daughter of the late Enoch and Emmie Attaway Suggs. Mrs. Moore was a 35 year retired accountant for L&N Railroad in Louisville, KY. She was an active member of the John Knox Presbyterian Church in Louisville, KY and the widow of the late James Leonard Moore. Survivors include her son, Jim (wife, Tracey) Moore of Lexington, KY; sister, Gladys Nagle of Burney, CA; grandsons, Mark and Tristan Alexander; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Tuesday, June 1, 2010, in Phillips Mill Baptist Church with interment following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until time of services on Tuesday in the Phillips Mill Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the John Knox Presbyterian Church, 9104 Westport Road, Louisville, KY 40242.
