Roy Wilbur Edwards

Mr. Roy W. Edwards, 88, of Newtown Rd., died Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at University/McDuffie Hospital in Thomson. Mr. Edwards was born in Crawfordville, and was the son of the late Lenys Edwards and Odessa Edwards.He was the husband of Sara Elizabeth Albea Edwards.He worked as a pattern cutter at the Almar Manufacturing Co., and was a member of the Victory Baptist Church. Graveside services will be Thursday afternoon, July 16, 2015, at 2:00 at the Washington-Wilkes Memorial Garden with Rev. Lester Jenkins officiating. Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife, Sara E. Albea Edwards, of Washington; one son, Ricky Edwards (Kim), of Washington; one daughter, Beverly Allen (Dennis), of Thomson; two sisters, Faye Callaway, of Washington, and Lena Callaway, of Eatonton; three grandchildren, and sixgreat grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7-9 at Hopkins Funeral Home.
