Mr. Ronald “Ronnie” LeGrand Smith, 72, of Berkshire Dr., died Friday, December 20, 2013. Mr. Smith was born in Wilkes County and had lived here all of his life.He was the son of the late O. Legrand Smith and Eula Mae Denard Smith, and was the husband of Gracia Long Smith.They had been married for 50 years.He was retired, but had been a wholesale routeman for the Pet Milk Co. for 48 years.He was a member of the former Washington Chapel. Graveside services will be Monday, December 23, 2013, at 11:00am at Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Madden officiating. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Gracia Long Smith, of the home; three daughters, Kelli S. Craycraft (Billy), of Washington, Staci S. Derisco (Brice), of Dacula, and Nikki S. Morris (Ricky), of Martinez; eight grandchildren, Ben Cosby, Rett Cosby, Cailyn Craycraft, Maggie Craycraft, Korbin Deriso, Caleb Deriso, Dawson Morris, and Reese Morris; and one sister, LaVera Strickland (Lavern), of Brunswick. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4:30 till 6:30 at Hopkins Funeral Home.
