Robert "Lloyd" Pittman, 73, of Claxton, GA, formerly of Sharon, passed away on May 8, 2024. Born on January 29, 1951, in Washington, Georgia, he was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle.
Lloyd led a vibrant life filled with unique experiences and cherished memories. He was a 1969 graduate of Warren County High School and also attended Brewton Parker College in Mount Vernon, GA.
In his career Lloyd, along with his brother, operated Pittman Packing Company for 26 years, serving in various roles including butcher, salesman, product development, and product delivery. He also dedicated over a decade to Paramedicine, serving Wilkes and surrounding counties.
Outside of work Lloyd had a wide range of hobbies and interests. He enjoyed being a First Responder, hunting, fishing, trapping, traveling (believe it or not), and amateur photography/development. He was also a fan of watching Westerns, baseball, and had a unique ability to watch the races with his eyes closed. He enjoyed tinkering with technology and staying connected through social media.
Lloyd is survived by his mother, Norma Echols Pittman and his brother Perry Pittman, both of Sharon, his daughters Dusty Pittman (James) and Amy Pittman, his grandchildren: Kalin Willhite (Darby), Cheyenne Scott (Dalton), Jessie Willhite, TJ Mitchell (Ciera), Nima and LaVadah Mincey; five great-grandchildren as well as nieces, great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father "Jack" Robert Arthur Pittman.
Graveside services will be held at Sharon Methodist Cemetery in Sharon, GA, on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 3 PM, with Reverend Mike Wynne officiating. All friends are welcome to attend.
