Mr. Robert Travis Jackson, 75, of 901 Spring St, passed away Sunday morning, August 27, 2017 at Wills Memorial Hospital. Mr. Jackson was born in Washington and had lived here all of his life.He was the son of the late S.T. Jackson, Jr. and Anne Lunceford Jackson. Mr. Jackson had worked in law enforcement where he served many different positions throughout his career. He had worked as a Police Officer, Police Chief, Criminal investigator in Washington and was an Investigator for the District Attorney’s office in McDuffie County.He was also a member of First Baptist Church. Mr. Jackson is survived by two daughters; Michele J. Fisher, of Washington, Crystal J. Stair (Terry), of Milledgeville; one son, Travis Jackson, of Warner Robins; one brother, Shelby Jackson (Dianne), of Martinez; two grandchildren, Haley Fisher and Dale Fisher and one great grandchild, Aubrey Fisher. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Brian George officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hopkins Funeral Home Monday, August 28, 2017 from 6:00-8:00pm. Pallbearers will be announced soon.
