Robert Lewis Gosnell

Mr. Robert Lewis Gosnell, 75, of Rayle, passed away Wednesday evening, July 15, 2020, at the Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center. Mr. Gosnell was born in Greenwood, SC, and was the son of the late Valley Gosnell and Annie Maude Coleman Gosnell.He was the husband of Glenda Powers Gosnell, and had lived in Wilkes County since 1980.He was the former assistant plant manager at SCT Yarns in Washington, and was a member of the New Life Baptist Church. Mr. Gosnell is survived by his wife, Glenda P. Gosnell, of Rayle; one daughter, Angie G. Newby, and husband Carri, of Rome, Ga.; one son, Robbie Gosnell, and wife Rhianna, of Senoia, Ga.; five grandchildren, Dillon Newby, Caitlyn Killingsworth, Landon Gosnell, Rosalie Gosnell, and Reece Gosnell; and one great grandchild, Aspen Killingsworth. Graveside services will be 2:00pm Sunday, June 19, 2020, at the Washington-Wilkes Memorial Gardens with Rev. Steve Powers, Rev. Butch Jackson, and Rev. Arthur Key officiating.Everyone will be expected to please observe the social distancing rules that are currently in place.
