Robert (Bobby) A. Turpin

Mr. Robert Allen “Bobby” Turpin, 65, of Winton Lane, passed away Wednesday morning at his home. Mr. Turpin was born in Washington on October 11, 1953, and was the son of the late Robert A. and Nellie Chafin Turpin.He was the husband of Pam Turpin, and was a truck driver for the County (Wilkes).He was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Pam Turpin, Washington; one daughter, Tonya Michelle Turpin, of Washington; and by one sister, Carol T. Thomasson, also of Washington. Graveside services will be 2:00 Sunday, at the Washington-Wilkes Memorial Gardens with Rev. Stephen Raynerofficiating.There will be a visitation (1:00-1:45pm) on Sunday for one hour prior to the graveside serviceat Hopkins Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Mack Chafin, Shane Lamar, Ronnie Thomasson, Douglas Armour, Gary Hopkins, and Roy Stitcher.
