Robert "Bob" Payne Anderson

Mr. Robert “Bob” Payne Anderson, 80, of Bradford Rd. In Tignall, entered into rest Sunday, December 13, 2020, at Elbert Memorial Hospital in Elberton. Mr. Anderson was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on September 24, 1940, to Cecil and Lucille Anderson, and was the husband of Sharleen Roehr Anderson.He graduated from Eau Claire High School, attended Luther College, and earned his bachelors degree from Florida State University.He then earned his Masters of Divinity at Columbia Presbyterian Seminary in Decatur, GA.Bob was a retired Family and Children Services social worker, and he and Sharleen were very active in showing AKC Rottweilers and Cardigan Welsh Corgis.He was a member of the Washington Presbyterian Church, which he actively pastored earlier for a few years. He and Sharleen both served as Elders there as well. Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sharleen Roehr Anderson, of Tignall;three daughters, Linda Kendzierski (Michael), of Greensboro, NC, Noell Kenslea, of Florida, and Ashley Boutwell (Matthew), also of Florida; one son, John Paul Anderson, of Arizona; one sister, Susan Ross(Mike), of Alaska; one brother, Tim Anderson (Cathy), of Plover, Wisconsin; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Friday, December 18, 2020, at the Washington Presbyterian Church with Pastor Glen Kohlhagen officiating.Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday at the Presbyterian Church from 1:30pm until the time of the service at 3:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Presbyterian Church, c/o Miriam S. Kitchens, 535 Thomson Rd., Washington, GA30673. Hopkins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
