Robbie Clark Hardigree

Robbie Clark Hardigree, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2023, at Wills Memorial Hospital. He was born on December 23, 1940, to the late John Henry Hardigree and Mary Lou Lewis Hardigree.

Robbie was a devoted husband to his partner, Gladys Wright Hardigree. Their unwavering love and commitment were a shining example to all who knew them. Together, they built a beautiful family and cherished every moment spent with their children and grandchildren.

Robbie loved people and he was dedicated to making his community a better place.  He coached numerous little league teams through the years, contributed to countless seniors being fed through Meals on Wheels, and spent many hours volunteering at the animal shelter.  Robbie could be found under the Friday night lights cheering on the Tigers.

Furthermore, Robbie was a respected member of the Lafayette Lodge #23 where he held the esteemed rank of past master. He embraced the values of this revered institution and demonstrated integrity, loyalty, and brotherhood throughout his tenure.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gladys Wright Hardigree, of Washington; son and daughter in law, Tracy and Debra Hardigree of Tignall; daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Doug Denard of Washington; five grandchildren and spouses, Brooke and Josh Saggus, Emily and Gabe Strother, Brian and Jesse Hardigree, Logan Denard, and Emily Denard; and five great grandchildren, Hutson Saggus, Mattox Saggus, Luke Strother, Kinley Hardigree, and Cooper Hardigree. And also a number of close friends and family.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris King and Paul Wright officiating.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday morning.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Mary Willis Library, Tignall Baptist Church, or to Lafeyette Lodge #23.
