Richard E. Hammock

Mr. Richard E. (Ricky) Hammock, 70, of Athens, passed away Monday morning, February 18, 2019, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital. Mr. Hammock was born in Camak and grew up in Washington. He was the son of the late Thomas and Ruth Tooel Hammock,graduated from Washington-Wilkes High School, and had lived in Athens for nearly 20 years.He was a shelter monitor at the Athens Salvation Army. He is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth H. Moser (Kirk), Deanne Hammock, Riki Hammock Remsen, and Hillary Hammock; one son, Daniel Hammock (Belle); eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 amFriday, February 22, 2019, at the Athens Salvation Army (784 N. Chase St.,Athens, Ga. 30605).
