Rhonda Grace Owen

Ms. Rhonda Grace Owen, 56, of Rosman, NC entered into rest Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, NC following an extended illness.

Rhonda was born in Washington, GA on August 20, 1966 to Gerald and Mary Owen. She attended Rosman High School, Washington-Wilkes High School and Oglethorpe County High School. She obtained her GED from Blue Ridge Tech.  She later attended Athens Tech and studied business/computer training.

She was most recently a homemaker and caregiver for her grandchildren and before this she worked in retail and construction industry.

Rhonda loved to sing and dance. She was always the life of the party. She never met a stranger and loved to talk to people. She made many friends this way.

Rhonda attended Rock United Methodist Church in Rayle, GA and God’s Way Church in Balsam Grove, NC. She was of the Christian Faith.

Rhonda shared her time between Rosman, NC and Rayle, GA, as she had family in both locations.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Tony Arnold of Rayle, GA and her grandparents Fred and Otha Owen of Rosman, NC.

Rhonda is survived by her parents, Gerald and Mary Owen of Rosman, NC; her sons, Randal Roberson and Joshua Roberson of Rosman, NC; grandmother, Ruby Arnold of Rayle, GA; brother, David Owen of Bonifay, FL; eight grandchildren, Juli, Gracee, Hunter, Kacey, Alex, Jessica, London and Lyra Roberson. And a host of extended family (cousins, aunts, uncles and friends).

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, December 31st from 12:00pm-1:00pm at Hopkins Funeral Home in Washington.

The memorial service will follow at 1:00pm, at Hopkins Funeral Home Chapel.
