Ralph Thomas Crawford

U.S. Army Ret MSG Ralph Thomas Crawford, Jr. 90, of Fayetteville, N.C. passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 23, 1928 in Wilkes County Ga., to the late Ralph Thomas Crawford, Sr. and Julia Barnes Crawford.Ralph was a Vietnam veteran who received numerous medals and commendations.He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church for over 54 years.He was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia C. Croom and Frances C. Huff. Surviving to carry on his legacy is his loving wife of over 64 years, Janelle Crawford, of the home; two sons, Ronnie Crawford and wife Kim, of Pittsboro, N.C.;, and Richard Crawford and wife Stacey, of Birmingham Al.; one daughter, Cindy Santiago and husband Greg, of Pinebluff, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Alex, Emily, Zac, Noah, Cruz and wife Teresa, Kristen, and Chris; one great granddaughter, MiKenzie, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Graveside memorial services will be 2:00pm Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jim Newsome and Rev. Dan Huff officiating. Hopkins Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
