Mrs. Peggy Jane Ledbetter Whitt, 58, of Washington, died Tuesday morning, November 22, 2016, at Wills Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Whitt was born in Cumming, GA, and was the daughter of Mary Bowman Ledbetter and of the late James Charles Ledbetter.She was a para pro at Briarwood Academy, and was also a school bus driver for Briarwood.She was a member of the Washington First Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by a sister, Jimmie Jean Hunt. She is survived by her husband, Frankie Whitt, of Washington; one daughter, Tami Robledo (Jerry), of Loganville; one son, Joel Whitt (Melissa), of Buford; three granddaughters; her mother, Mary B. Ledbetter, of Winder; one sister, Sandra Ledbetter, of Winder; and one brother, Charles Ledbetter, also of Winder. Local arrangements in Washington include a visitation from 6-8pm on Friday, November 25, 2016, at Hopkins Funeral Home.The following day (Saturday), November 26, 2016, visitation and services will take place at Flanigan Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Buford.The visitation will be at Flanigan Funeral Home from 5-7pm, followed by the service at 7:00pm at the Flanigan Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
