Patti Lindsey

Patti B. Lindsey, at age 60, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA after a fearless struggle with colon cancer. She was born to Allen and Wilma Bunch on January 24, 1955. Patti attended Wilkes Academy in Washington and earned an Associate Degree at Phillips College in Augusta GA. She married her high school sweetheart, Ronny Lindsey, in 1976, and together they built a home and a family. Patti dedicated her life to family, pets, home and garden, and tended her vegetables and flowers until her very last days. She especially enjoyed the time spent on Edisto Island, SC which was like a second home to her. Surrounded by family, Patti spent many years vacationing there where she enjoyed walking the beach, finding shells and sharks’ teeth. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ronny, and their three children, son Jacob and his wife Martina Radic of Charleston SC, daughter Jennifer Lindsey Clarke and her husband Hill Clarke of Washington GA, and daughter Elizabeth Niesen and her husband Michael Niesen of Augusta GA. She is also survived by her parents Allen and Wilma Bunch, and two siblings, brother Allen Bunch Jr. and sister Janet Bunch. In her last years, her beloved pets, Izzy and Grendel, brought her great joy. Patti requested that no funeral services be held, but the family wishes to thank all of the friends, neighbors and medical staff who cared for her during her illness. Cremation will be performed by Poteet Funeral Home in Augusta. In lieu of flowers or other gifts, the family requests that donations be made in Patti's name to the Washington-Wilkes Animal Shelter.
