Mr. Odell D. Locklair, 76, of Washington, died April 1, 2010 at Heritage Healthcare of Wilkes.He was a native of Aiken, South Carolina, the son of the late, Joseph Arlie and Ida Mae Gunter Locklair.Mr. Locklair was a retired machinist and truck driver.He was of the Baptist faith.A son, Odell Locklair, Jr. and a granddaughter, Taylor Weeks preceded him in death. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, April 5th at 6:00pm in Hopkins Funeral Home, with Rev. Wade Palmer officiating. Survivors include his wife of fourteen years, Carolyn Thurmond Locklair; daughter and son in law, Glenda & Stephen VanDerVliet, Aiken, SC; son and daughter in law, Joey and Margaret Anne Locklair, Washington; step children, Vicki Lynn Bley and husband Bruce, Monroe, Charles Weaver and wife, Cindy, Washington, Deanna Webb, Washington, Deena Williamson, Washington and Bo McEathron, Washington; six grandchildren, Tocia Weeks, Aiken, James Arther Locklair, Aiken, Tanya Pearce, Aiken, Hunter Locklair, Madison Locklair and Christian Weaver; twelve stepgrandchildren; six great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild; two sisters, Ruth Campbell and Vernell New, both of Aiken; and a number of nieces and nephews.
