Nell Hester Bowers

Mrs. Nell Hester Bowers, 90, of Danburg, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at her residence.A native of Wilkes County, she was the daughter of the late John Pilcher and Mary Norman Hester.Mrs. Bowers was retired from Royal Manufacturing Company and was a member of Danburg Baptist Church.She was the widow of Henry Grady Bowers. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 12th, at 11:00am, in Danburg Baptist Church with Rev. Ficklen Guinn officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery.Richie DuBois, Bobby Danner, Steve McCall, David Wideman, Ricky Danner and Randy Danner will serve as pallbearers.The Deacons of Danburg Baptist, Joe Riley, Jack Bentley, Will Bentley and Thomas Albea will serve as honorary pallbearers. Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Sherri Bowers and Steve Dobbs, of Tignall; one son and his wife, Ken and Lisa Bowers, of Grovetown; two sisters, Reba Hester, of Greenwood, S.C. and Edythe (Marvin) Armour, of Washington; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends in the Church Thursday from 10:00am until service time.
