Mrs. Myrtis Bonner Seymour, 74,of Washington, died October 27, 2009 in MCG. She was a native of Oglethorpe County, the daughter of the late Samuel Eaton and Hazel Chafin Bonner.Mrs. Seymour had worked as a shipping supervisor in the textile industry. After retirement she worked the election polls and worked at the Wilkes County Stockyard.She was a member of Mallorysville Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, John Harold Seymour. Graveside services will be Friday at 4:00pm in Mallorysville Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Donnie Berry officiating.Jack Leard, Jr., Brandon Howard, Matthew Howard, Ricky Morgan, Gaynor Hardy and Douglas Casey will serve as pallbearers with Ricky Dawson and Graydon and Pat Bobo serving as honorary pallbearers. Survivors include one daughter and son in law, Debra and Joe Hardy, Rayle; two sons and daughter in law, Dennis and Sharon Seymour, Milledgeville and Dan Seymor, Washington; six grandchildren, Denise Johnson, Mike, Mason and Blair Seymour, Jennifer and Gaynor Hardy; two great grandchildren, Brandon and Matthew Howard. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7-9 at Hopkins Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mallorysville Baptist Church, 199 Bunch Rd., Tignall, GA30668. The Hopkins Funeral Home, Washington, Georgia, has charge of arrangements.
