Mildred Amy Boatwright

Miss Mildred Amy Boatwright, 51, of Crosley Rd. in Augusta, entered into rest Sunday, September 19, 2021, at the Jefferson County Hospital in Louisville. Amy was born in Augusta, Ga., and had lived in Wilkes County for most of her life, but had lived in Augusta since 2008.She was the daughter of Joseph Alexander Boatwright, Jr., and of the late Joy Phillips Boatwright.When she lived in Rayle, she attended the Sardis Baptist Church. She is survived by her father, Joseph “Alex” Boatwright, Jr., of Rayle; two aunts, Sherene Nicholson, of Saluda, SC, and Gloria Colet, of Augusta; one uncle, Tommy Phillips, of Wrens; her caregiver, Shirley Cunningham, Augusta; and by a number of cousins. Funeral services will be 2:00 Friday, September 24, 2021, at the Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Newsome officiating.Visitation will be Friday from 1:00pm until the time of the service at Sardis Baptist Church. Hopkins Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Miss Amy Boatwright.
